South Asian Secretariat

In 1998, the Sangat Secretariat was initially hosted by Bedari, Pakistan. A year later, in 1999, it was hosted by Jagori in India. Since 2001, Sangat has set up a small regional office in New Delhi. Jagori continues to be its legal Project Holder.

Membership of Sangat

• Any South Asian who believes in regional solidarity and works for peace, equality, justice, human rights, women’s empowerment and sustainable livelihoods.
• South Asians living outside South Asia and non South Asians working in/for South Asia.

Membership fee

None. National Sangat groups however may request you for donations from time-to-time.
